International Women’s Brew Day

Join us March 5th at the brewery for International Women’s Brew Day! One of our brewers will be on-site brewing a batch, and inviting everyone to help with the process.

This day was first launched in 2014 and takes place during the same week as Women’s Day. The idea is to raise the profile of women in the beer industry, and to raise the profile of beer to women. It’s designed for camaraderie, so women can brew together socially. The profits from these events are give to charity. Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. has chosen the Faye Peterson Transition House for our first year of participation.

One day, we hope to be able to fully participate in International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day by following the yearly brewing recipe, and giving the beer sale profits to charity.

Also known as “real ale,” cask conditioned ale is beer that matures in the cask that it is served out of. It’s fresh and unfiltered, giving it a unique flavour.
